Good afternoon Lakeland Baseball & Softball Families, 

I wanted to share a status update on Lakeland Little League, as we are undergoing some major changes to our board members and officer positions.  After serving the Lakeland community for several years, both Tony Green and Kevin Bush have decided to step down from the board and their positions as President and Commissioner of Baseball Operations.  I would like to thank them for their many years of service!  

I, Mike Dorey, am taking Tony's place as President, and Cory Bradshaw will be taking over as Commissioner of Baseball Operations.  Cory and I have both served on the Board the last two years as Treasurer (Mike) and AA Division Director (Cory).  We have been increasing our responsibilities over the past several months in trying to make this as seamless of a transition as possible.  In addition, we have several new board members to complement our existing team (listed below).

John Aiken - Commissioner of Softball 

Eric Olsen - AA Division Co-Director

Doug Stalker - AA Division Co-Director

Frank Gagliardi - Safety Officer

Our goals for this organization are to: 

1) provide a quality program for our young athletes to have fun playing the game, improve each year, and play with respect to others and the game itself

2) create a family culture, as our young athletes should not only be learning the game and improving their skills each year, but they should be creating friendships as well

3) provide premiere communication to our families, as that is what our families deserve

I want to thank all of you for sticking with Lakeland these last few years, and I look forward to helping guide this organization to our next chapter.  Please be on the lookout later this fall for information regarding Spring Baseball and Softball registrations.
